I don’t like the thought of you feeling down.
I wish there was something I could do to make it all better. I wish I could take away it, what ever it is bringing you down. I wish I could take it all upon myself instead.
I think I should tell you, because perhaps you don’t know, but you my dear are FANTASTIC! I only have fantastic friends, and having made the grade you therefore must be fantastic.
Perhaps you also don’t know that you are beautiful! You are sincere! You are kind! You are funny! You are strong! You are determined! You are an unstoppable force! Should anyone try to tell you otherwise, ignore them, don’t waste your time on fools.
I don’t like the thought of you feeling down, and honestly I’ve always been a little jealous of you. Jealous of you and your awesomeness. You’ve travelled. You’ve got so many great friends. You’re liked. You’re loved. You’re talented.
Too often you compare yourself to others, and measure your success in life against what others have achieved. Please don’t. Don’t waste time comparing, competing or racing. As somebody semi famous once sang…
“Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead,
sometimes you’re behind…
the race is long, and in the end,
it’s only with yourself.”
We never truly know what’s happening behind the scenes. We never really know if those we compare ourselves to are happy. It’s not a race. It’s not a competition. Success in life isn’t measured by stuff, things or fancy titles.
YOU ARE TRULY AWESOME! I don’t make friends with non-awesome people, and you are in fact one of my dearest friends, so therefore you are awesome.
Be kind to yourself. Please.
