At the Taupo Riverside Markets I stumbled upon this insanely cute jewellery stand. The problem was deciding which to buy.. and when to stop picking things up and adding them to my collection of shopping. Jo the creator of the jewellery who was manning the stand, not only creates these cute pieces but she’s also ridiculously friendly… it’s all very hard to resist.
I bought 3 pieces …. which I LOVE. The necklace is the perfect length and sits brilliantly over most clothes, I love the old world charm of the necklace. You’ll no doubt have noticed that one pair of earrings are still on their backing card, that’s purely because after years and years of not wearing earrings I now need to get my ears re-pierced (I’m far to chicken to do it myself) and the earrings are so delectably cute its tearing me up inside that I can’t wear them.
What Jo says about herself ” love anything old with history behind it, especially old lace, the buttons from Nannas button jar, rusty keys and pearls. My passion is finding discarded or unwanted treasures from the past and giving them a new lease of life. I use all that interests me in my work…the old, the new, the weird, the wonderful”.
Pop past the Red Lippy Facebook page and check out all sorts of amazing things. I’ve got my eye on more than a few…
